The Förderkreis sees itself as a link between the museum and the Hofheim community. Its members feel jointly responsible for ensuring that the museum receives the attention and recognition it deserves today after 30 years of successful development work. To this end, the Friends support the museum both ideally and materially in its various activities. This is what makes many things possible in the first place.
In close contact with the museum management, the Förderkreis provides funds in particular for
- the expansion of the collection
- the organization of exhibitions, catalogs and publications
- the educational work of the museum
It is particularly important to us that children and young people also discover the museum for themselves: As a lively place of beautiful experiences with fine art, urban history and archaeology.
The funds that the Förderkreis regularly makes available to the museum are obtained through the contributions of its members, donations and the generous support of sponsors from our region.
These recent examples show how sensibly the funds are used:
Exhibitions
"Escape to Freedom. A cooperative real-time adventure". An exhibition not just for children and young people (2022)
Expansion of the collection
Purchase and donation of two valuable prints by the internationally renowned artist Ernst Wilhelm Nay, who lived and worked in Hofheim from 1945 to 1951 (2022)
Catalogs
"Blick auf heute". Catalog of the 1st Taunus Art Triennial (2019/20)

Accompanying program for young people for the Marta Hoepffner Prize for Photography (2018)

Several times a year, our newsletter keeps you up to date with everything that's new at the Stadtmuseum and the Förderkreis. You don't have to be a member of the Friends to receive it. We write it for everyone who is interested in the museum and its activities.
