Ursula Teschner Collection
September 13 – November 8, 2026
In 2025, the Hofheim City Museum received a substantial private collection as a donation. The donor, Ursula Teschner, hosted the so-called “Sonnabend Gallery” in her private home for over ten years, from 2004 to 2015, with a focus on works of abstract art. The starting point for Teschner’s engagement with abstraction was her master’s thesis on the artist Gloria Brand (*1943), who studied at the HfG Offenbach and became known in particular for her collages. The exhibition honors this outstanding donation and highlights Ursula Teschner’s work as a gallery owner and collector.
On view are works by, among others, Max Ackermann, Gloria Brand, Herbert Dellwing, Sabine Funke, Dorthe Goeden, Ev Grüger, K.O. Götz, Florian Köhler, Vesna Kovacic, Heinz Kreutz, Dieter Lincke, Lienhard von Monkiewitsch, Hide Nasu, Wolfgang Petrovsky, Ann Reder, Helmut Rieger, Lionel Röhrscheid, Corinna Rosteck, Gerhard Sauter, Günter Schulz-Ihlefeldt, Otfried Schütz, and Angela Tonner.
